cultural diversity / sustainability
Our secondary school has around 500 students and 45 teachers and is located in the southern part of Hungary. In our school we prepare students for their high-school graduation and university studies. The focus is on the following subject combinations, e.g.: mathematics-physics, natural sciences-mathematics, mathematics-computer science, literary history, English-computer science). We have the strategic goal of bringing technology and the environment into harmony (by becoming an eco- and smart school).
We are looking for a partnership / sister school from worldwide, that share same interest in collaborative projects. We would love to work on student-related projects (e.g. sustainability, cultural diversity).
Proposal for possible collaboration
During the first round of the Erasmus+ mobility project, 24 Hungarian students and 2 teachers, in cooperation with the Partnerschool, organize themselves as a team with the students and teachers and explore the concept of "diversity" in a different way every day during student activities based on foreign language and digital competences. Through cultural diversity and the approach of inclusion, the project brings the changes taking place in the 21st century closer to the students involved. The aim of the project is to positively shape the outlook of our students in order for them to become tolerant, accepting, responsible and socially sensitive European citizens. The students involved also strengthen their various competences, which are essential for lifelong learning and the world of work, during the cooperation: interpersonal, intercultural and social competences, civic, entrepreneurial competence, cultural and technical competence.
During the second round of the Erasmus+ mobility project, 24 foreign students and 2 teachers, in cooperation with our school, organize in Hungary themselves into teams with Hungarian students and teachers and explore the concept of "sustainability" in different ways during student activities. Through its approach, the project brings the global environmental changes taking place in the 21st century closer to the students. The aim of the project is to positively shape the outlook of our students in order for them to become responsible European citizens sensitive to environmental protection and sustainable development. During the cooperation, the involved students also strengthen their various competencies essential for lifelong learning and the world of work: interpersonal, intercultural and social competencies, civic and entrepreneurial competencies, cultural and technical competencies.
