Hungarian Leonardo projects had a great success in the competition for the European Quality in Mobility Award: two of them were awarded, and further two projects were among the top 24.

The Leonardo da Vinci Quality in Mobility Award is designed to honour the best project promoters and show their excellent work to a wider public.  In 2006, for the second time now, the Quality in Mobility Award was presented to outstanding Leonardo mobility projects on the 10th of May in Graz, Austria.

235 projects were nominated by the Leonardo National Agencies from all over Europe. The best 24 projects in five categories (initial vocational training, young workers and graduates, students, teachers and trainers, projects run by enterprises) were selected by an international jury. We are especially proud of that each of the 4 projects nominated by Hungary were selected among the best 24 ones, and in the end two of them received the award in their categories. The project of the Hospital of Bács-Kiskun County’s Local Government enabled 20 nurses and medical assistants to spend an eight-week-long placement in hospitals in Denmark and Germany, in order to develop their professional and language skills. The project of Pergamo Deposit Company consisted of the placement of a recent graduate veterinary in Belgium, and the goal was to help adopt a modern system of fertilization and animal husbandry which is compatible with the EU regulations in the sending enterprise.
