GenERAtion: Dissemination of Results and Best Practices for Raising the Profile of Erasmus Mobility

21 countries participate in the project which was awarded a grant by the European Commission. The aim of the project is to compile, process and disseminate experiences gained so far from the mobility component of the Socrates / Erasmus action and use them to build a common pool of knowledge for the future development objectives of the new integrated life-long learning programme with a view to the Bologna process and the building of the European Higher Education Area.

The project deals with the following six themes:

  • education and economy
  • teachers - motivation and recognition of teachers in order to foster Erasmus mobility of students
  • placements / internships of students
  • joint / double degrees - accreditation - recognition
  • global mobility - marketing of higher education
  • absorption capacity of HEIs / countries - analysing conditions of receiving / sending Erasmus students

The project, co-ordinated by the Tempus Public Foundation, intends to carry out dissemination activities at national and European level in different regions of Europe by the means of six international seminars. The seminars will be based on the results and best practices of the institutions and countries in the subjects that touch upon common problems and opportunities for development.

The total budget of the project is 450 000 EUR.
