Project-based teaching

Tempus Public Foundation developed a 30-hour-long teacher-trainig course with the cooperation of the Czech, Polish, Slovakian Socrates National Agencies supported by the European Commission in 2005.

The course is acknowledged by the Hungarian Ministry of Education and Culture (Registr. No. OM 175 / 265 / 2005)

Target group
Teachers and any participants of the school education sector are welcome to the course.

Objectives
The training aims the following objectives:

  • To unfold opportunities hiden in the project-based teaching
  • Refreshing, arranging and improving knowledge concerning project-based teaching
  • Adopting the theoretical knowledge in practice
  • To promote the application of project-based teaching in the widest range

Course method

  • building on the previous knowlegde and experience,
  • small groups, active contribution of participants
  • training elements

In longer term the training aims to improve the project competencies of the participants, and this way to contribute to the modernization of the teaching-learning culture, and to the enhancement of the cooperative teaching methods.

Syllabus

1. Block (1-2. day)
1. day – 7 classes: The project method

  1. Teambuilding
  2. Project and school project (terminology and process analysis)
  3. Co-operative pedagogy (activities, work forms, attitudes)

2. day – 8 classes: Project planning

  1. Theme setting
  2. Objectives and results
  3. Activities
  4. Stakeholders, resources

2. Block (3-4. day)
3. day – 8 classes: Implementation

  1. Communication and coordination
  2. Monitoring, documentation and risk mamagement
  3. Closure, evaluation
  4. Questions of assessment in co-operative work

4. day – 7 classes: Project plans

  1. Elaboration and presentation of project plans
  2. Evaluation of project plans
  3. Elaboration of individual dissemination plan
  4. Closing and assessment of the training

Certificate
Those participants, who meet the requirements of the course, will get a certificate.

Registration
In case of whole faculty registration (min. 12-max. 30) the course can be organised on the required location on the required date.
